LIFESTYLE :: TOP 5 SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES

Happy New Year! 2020 was a unique year and in reflection I’ve noted the value of subscription based services. Let me know if you agree.

1. HELLO FRESH

This might be unusual to some, but for me, this meal subscription has completely changed the way I eat come dinner time. I used to eat out alot (living in the city) or cook really basic (boring) meals. Though for the past year or so I have been getting the weekly meal service from HelloFresh.com.au which is delivered straight to your doorstep. Granted you have to cook your meal but all the ingredients, and portions are exact to the easy-step recipe provided. For me that means savings in so many ways. For one I’m not wasting any uneaten food and I no longer have to worry about what I should cook for dinner. It’s nutritious and delicious.

2. NESPRESSO

Wow ok. So. Coffee. Yes I’m addicted. Yes I’m a coffee snob. Yes I love a good Americano and yes I’m a sucker for a chilled oat milk filled iced coffee w/ a dash (or two) of maple syrup. Now that you know here’s my Nespresso journey. So last Christmas I was gifted a Nespresso Coffee machine.. being a coffee snob I assumed it was not worthy to even try this machine out. Then the new year kicked in, a few months passed and so I finally decided to give it a go. Since then I have upgraded to a black coffee only machine, I’m a true convert and exclusively drink Nespresso coffee. I even take my glass coffee cup and head out with it instead of buying a barista made coffee. The flavour, the texture and the consistency of a Nespresso coffee has me hooked. Please for the love of coffee try a Nespresso! I love the novelty of popping a pod into my machine every morning, before a workout or a decaf during a late night Netflix binge.. might even have one now.

3. AMAZON PRIME

Yes paying an annual fee for Amazon Prime has been such a great investment. I purchase many items on Amazon especially those American household products that you can’t seem to find anywhere in Australia. The best thing about it, is that you get value with a Prime membership. The fast and free Prime Delivery service, the Prime Video streaming service and the connection to my house speakers through Alexa and Amazon Music makes it all so seamless.

4. AUDIBLE

This might hurt some to hear but I stopped buying at my favourite book store when I discovered Audible.com.au My favourite place to listen to audio books is when I’m driving alone. Instead of popping on some tunes I’ll sync my phone to my car and play from where I last stopped. The best environment for really taking in what you are listening to. Truly, try it.

5. POTTY PLANT

As per my last post you’d know that I’m a new Pug mum and so I’m now looking to potty train my playful one. I do wish to keep a puppy pad in her play pen but during the day I want to introduce real grass for her to do her business on. My first delivery will arrive in the new year and I have opted in on the weekly grass subscription. PottyPlant.com.au will deliver fresh grass straight to my doorstep making it easy to maintain the upkeep from home.
